Our Mission

The Greater Norfolk Medical Society of South Hampton Roads is an organization of physicians historically comprised primarily of African-American physicians, who practice within the Greater Hampton Roads area. The organization is open to all physicians who treat African-American patients.

The mission of the organization is to serve as an informed voice for these physicians and their patients. Our goal is to serve the community through education, advocacy and activities targeted at reducing and eliminating the healthcare disparity between minority and non-minority populations.

Members of the Greater Norfolk Medical Society of South Hampton Roads foster professional integrity and high quality healthcare.
